Project Summary:
The Dolphin Centre is a project aimed at raising public awareness about dolphins in the Northern Adriatic. The exhibition offers insight into the lives of these marine mammals and the research conducted by Morigenos. It is complemented by interactive elements and a realistic dolphin model. As a bridge between science and the general public, the centre provides access to scientific information in a comprehensible, educational, and engaging way. The project has made a significant contribution to local and regional development through active collaboration with the local community, educational and scientific institutions, and individuals. More than 60 educational programmes were implemented, involving over 5,000 participants from vulnerable groups. This interaction fostered the creation of innovative networks and partnerships for sustainable projects contributing to nature conservation. Through its activities, the centre strengthens sustainable coexistence between people and marine animals and serves as a platform for collaboration with researchers, experts, and decision-makers in the protection of the marine environment.
