The project “From Classroom to the Sea” addresses the issue of marine ecosystem degradation and its impact on dolphins and other marine organisms in the Slovenian sea. Pollution, climate change, and human activities threaten the delicate marine balance. The project aims to educate and raise awareness among young people and the broader public about the importance of marine environment conservation.
As part of the project, interactive educational workshops will be conducted for primary school students (grades 5–9) in two schools. Children will explore the effects of climate change and pollution on the marine ecosystem and create stop-motion animated educational videos. Teachers will gain access to an online educational platform, where teaching materials and workshops on marine conservation will be available. Additionally, a media campaign will be launched through social media, print, and electronic media to raise awareness among the general public about the urgent need to protect the sea and dolphins.
Through this project, we aim to encourage responsible environmental behavior, strengthen knowledge about the impact of climate change and pollution, and contribute to the long-term protection of Slovenia’s marine environment.
