Consortium “United for the Sea”
Project Overview:
The “United for the Sea” project addresses the urgent need for the collaboration and professionalization of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in the field of marine ecosystem and environmental protection. Our goal is to establish a strong network of organizations that will enhance public communication, raise awareness, and encourage active individual participation in marine conservation.
Objectives, Expected Outcomes and Key Activities:
- Strengthening Collaboration: We will establish an effective consortium that, through joint projects and campaigns, will contribute to the long-term protection of marine habitats.
- Digitalization of NGOs and Citizen Science: We will develop a citizen science platform that will engage the public in research activities while providing NGOs and research institutions with easier access to data.
- Education and Awareness-Raising: We will implement interactive educational programs for both young people and adults, organizing workshops, lectures, and public events to promote knowledge about the importance of marine ecosystems.
- Capacity Building of the Consortium: We will facilitate networking events, training, and knowledge exchange among consortium partners to strengthen organizational capacities and enhance the competencies of our staff.
- Sustainable Operations: Through strategic planning and long-term funding, the consortium will ensure the stability of organizations and the continuity of their activities.
