Even the youngest helping in dolphin conservation

Pupils of the Waldorf School Gorenjska collected donations from their little pockets and adopted our dolphin named Morigenos. They also delighted us with a bunch of pretty drawings and wished us many beautiful research days. Thank you, children, and their teacher! You can also adopt a dolphin from Slovenia and thus support the conservation and research of these wonderful creatures in the northern Adriatic.

Tilen Genov from Morigenos wins the European Cetacean Society Award for the best short talk

Two weeks ago, the European Cetacean Society organised the 31st conference on marine mammals in Denmark, attended by experts from all over Europe and other parts of the world, including the Morigenos team. Dolphins bring excitement to a fishing competition

Cup 2017 fishing competition. Dolphins impressed all the spectators with their jumps and good mood, and according to unofficial results, won the competition. The group included Kai, Timi, Deinon, Daphne and Emanuela with their calves, and others. You can support our work by adopting some of these dolphins. We tracked the dolphins out to sea, during which time they inquisitively approached our boat on multiple occasions. Thanks to everyone that reported their sightings to us.

Mare Nostrum Network Workshop focusing on reducing marine litter

Last week Morigenos attended a Mare Nostrum Network workshop, which took place in the coastal town of La Herradura in Spain. The purpose of the workshop was to find funding sources for various projects that will contribute to the protection of the Mediterranean Sea. This time the focus was on reducing marine litter.
