MedPAN general assembly and workshop – MPAs facing pollution in the Mediterranean: thinking beyond boundaries
MedPAN, the network of Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in cooperation with the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation, the Strunjan Landscape Park and with the support of the Slovenian Marine Mammal Society – Morigenos, organizes the annual meeting of the network of Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas Managers on 27th of November 2017 in Izola, Slovenia. Today, MedPAN joins more than 100 members and partners from 18 Mediterranean countries.
Besides the general assembly, MedPAN regional workshop on the issue of pollution of the Mediterranean marine environment and the meeting of project partners of the ACT4LITTER project will take place at the Cultural centre (Kulturni Dom) of Izola from 28th of November to 1st of December 2017.
MedPAN co-ordinates the work of the network and supports managers of protected marine areas in the Mediterranean. In line with its strategy from 2013-2017, it organizes regular annual expert meetings, on which managers, partners and other stakeholders exchange experience and information on the various aspects of the management of MPAs.
Morigenos, a partner of MedPAN, also participates in organizing events.
